Quality live in care, rewarding work, good money.
Once you have registered your interest with us, you will be asked to provide details of all of your work experience and provide references and details of any relevant training you may have. We will carry out a DBS check which you will be required to pay for. Once references have been taken up and we have confirmed that your training is up to date, you will then be invited to an interview.
If you are accepted by the Agency, we will then undertake to match your skills and preferences to find the most suitable placement for yourself and the best possible care for the Client. We have engagements available throughout the UK, of varying lengths of contract.
We offer two levels of care to our Clients, and we will discuss and agree with you which level you are most suited to before any engagement is allocated. The level of care that we agree that you will carry out will depend on your experience, preferences, relevant skills and training.
Every Personal Carer we introduce is interviewed personally by our Managing Director and DBS police checked. We check all references provided and ensure that all necessary training is current and valid. In addition each carer is required to hold current Personal Carer insurance.
Otus Live in Care is an agency providing an introduction service of live in Carers to Clients. As a live in Carer for Otus Live in Care, your employment status will be "self employed" and you will be paid by the Client, not by the agency. As a “self employed” person you will need to register with the Inland Revenue and you will be responsible for all your Tax and National Insurance that may be payable.
The Inland Revenue website and information regarding self employment is available at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/selfemployed/. We are always happy to help you with any other queries you may have with this.
Please note you will not be paid for time that you are not working.
All our carers must have up to date Personal Carer insurance, once again we are happy to discuss how you can obtain suitable policies.
